Design Process
Each piece of our furniture is handcrafted in our Hudson Valley studio from naturally fallen hardwoods, with chairs available in Black Walnut or Cherry. From the moment the wood arrives in our workshop, it undergoes our signature hands-on process—including milling, drying, preparation, carving, and finishing—all reflecting our commitment to sustainability and craftsmanship. Every step, from raw material to final piece, takes place on-site to ensure the highest quality.
When you're ready to place an order, we offer a personalized consultation to guide you through the process. Share photos and measurements of your space, and whether you’re looking for a single statement piece or an entire room of custom furniture, we’ll work closely with you to create a perfect fit—both functionally and aesthetically.
Payment & Shipping
Once your order is placed, please allow approximately twelve weeks for your furniture to leave our studio. Every step—from hand-selecting your unique wood and kiln-drying it to carving and finishing—is a meticulous process that takes time to ensure the highest quality.
A 50% deposit is required at the time of ordering. All domestic orders are delivered via our white-glove, in-home service for a seamless experience. When your piece is ready to ship, we will provide a shipping quote and final invoice for the remaining balance.

Handcrafted from solid wood, the frame highlights the natural beauty of its material through flowing lines, precise joinery, and a gracefully contoured silhouette. Every curve and angle is thoughtfully designed to enhance both visual appeal and structural integrity, resulting in a chair that is as enduring as it is timeless.
To further complement the richness of the wood, we have sourced a leather of equal distinction. Produced exclusively for Redbarn Woodwork in a Hudson Valley tannery, these custom goat hides feature a warm honey brown hue with a luxurious Empire finish, accentuating the leather’s natural character while aging beautifully over time.
Designed with both form and function in mind, the Conoid Lounge Chair is a statement of refined minimalism—an heirloom-quality piece that seamlessly integrates into any space while offering an inviting place to relax.
