Design Process

Each piece of our furniture is handcrafted in our Hudson Valley studio from naturally fallen hardwoods, with chairs available in Black Walnut or Cherry. From the moment the wood arrives in our workshop, it undergoes our signature hands-on process—including milling, drying, preparation, carving, and finishing—all reflecting our commitment to sustainability and craftsmanship. Every step, from raw material to final piece, takes place on-site to ensure the highest quality.

When you're ready to place an order, we offer a personalized consultation to guide you through the process. Share photos and measurements of your space, and whether you’re looking for a single statement piece or an entire room of custom furniture, we’ll work closely with you to create a perfect fit—both functionally and aesthetically.

Payment & Shipping

Once your order is placed, please allow approximately twelve weeks for your furniture to leave our studio. Every step—from hand-selecting your unique wood and kiln-drying it to carving and finishing—is a meticulous process that takes time to ensure the highest quality.

A 50% deposit is required at the time of ordering. All domestic orders are delivered via our white-glove, in-home service for a seamless experience. When your piece is ready to ship, we will provide a shipping quote and final invoice for the remaining balance.

Conoid Dining Table

Design Interpretation by Gordon Woodwork

Each live-edge, wide plank is meticulously milled, dried, and finished in our Hudson Valley studio before being expertly joined with traditional butterfly joints. The tabletop, available in sizes ranging from 66” to 96”, rests gracefully upon a trestle base that enhances its natural aesthetic. The angled and sculpted supports of the trestle highlight the exquisite craftsmanship of Japanese joinery.

Embrace the sculptural beauty of the wood’s open fissures—an homage to organic forms found in nature—or use the drop-in trivets to extend the surface area as needed. When not in use, the trivets can be discreetly stored out of sight. For a more seamless look, choose from options such as a clear epoxy inlay, tight-fitting slabs, or a natural, unfilled surface.

Handcrafted in our Hudson Valley studio, each dining table is made from naturally fallen hardwoods, with seating options available in Black Walnut or Cherry. Every piece undergoes our signature, hands-on process—including milling, drying, preparation, carving, and finishing—ensuring the highest level of quality and sustainability. From the moment the wood arrives in our workshop to the final shipment, every step takes place on-site.

Minimalist yet striking in its design, our Dining Table is inspired by George Nakashima’s iconic Conoid Dining Table, blending elements of Midcentury Modern and American Studio movements. The result is a timeless piece that effortlessly balances natural beauty with expert craftsmanship.
