“We didn’t want to buy more things. We wanted to own fewer, better things.”

The Story
When we started renovating our home, we weren’t looking for more stuff. We just wanted to be more thoughtful about what we lived with, to invest in things that actually meant something to us. That mindset led us to Gordon Woodworks. We came across the Minguren Coffee Table and immediately felt like it was different. It wasn’t just a table, it felt like something that had been made with care. You could see it in the wood, feel it in the way the edges were shaped. It had soul. Working with the team was such a personal experience. They helped us choose a piece of wood that felt right for our home: warm, rich, and just imperfect enough to feel alive. The final piece is beautiful, but not in a flashy way. It has a quiet presence. It grounds the room. We wanted to share our story because this kind of craftsmanship is rare. In a world full of fast furniture and quick fixes, it meant a lot to us to find something that was made slowly, with purpose. You can feel that when you live with it.
